We spent 2 nights at Colorado trail house. The room was clean, quiet and super comfortable. We loved having access to the kitchen and washer and dryer. Rick and Bec gave us great recommendations for hikes and restaurants in town. Location was walking distance to Main Street. I would absolutely stay here again and again!

Bec and Rick were, again, so helpful and inviting. The bunks were pretty standard, but with less people than a typical hostel. There was access to food in the kitchen (eggs, toast, etc) and a hot tub, which I definitely got use of. This place has an amazing walkability rating (you can walk anywhere downtown). I will definitely stay at their place if I’m in Leadville again.

Awesome place for adventurers!

This is a really cool place to stay in Leadville with lots of character and charm. The house itself dates back to the late 1800s during the mining boom. The owners, Bec and Rick, are super friendly and when I was there the house was filled with lots of interesting folks on all sorts of cool adventures, from hiking the CDT to biking across Colorado.I highly recommend this place!

Have been coming to Leadville since 2010. Colorado Trail house was close to everything, room was comfortable. Prices beyond reasonable and not inflated for special events. Definitely would stay again and have already recommended to friends.

Stay here!

Outstanding stay at CO Trail House. The hosts are welcoming and very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable with a huge front window - felt like we had a balcony. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed and happy. A great find in Leadville - thanks!

We had a very comfortable stay at the Colorado Trail house, one night in the Fish Bowl and the 2nd in the Blue Room. Bec and Rick are quite friendly. The location is great as well. We hope to stay again.

Fun place to stay

What a delightful house! Great Victorian ambience, quiet, peaceful and very well located for walking around town. The Big Blue Room bed was also Big and had a lovely view of an aspen tree out the window opposite. We took advantage of the communal kitchen in the morning and made pancakes and drank probably all of the excellent coffee provided by the management. I'd give five stars except that the interior decor of our room and bath could use some color coordination and I wish the tub had been equipped for a bath as well as a shower.
